Care Advice for Duramax Cabinets11
- Ensure that the cabinet storage space is not overloaded
- Avoid exposing the cabinets to water for long periods
- Use a slightly damp cloth with a liquid household cleaner to clean the laminated surfaces
- Always wipe the cabinets dry with a soft cloth after cleaning
- Do not use any scouring products, harsh liquid cleaners, polishes, waxes, hard sponges or steam cleaners
- Always test a cleaner first
Tip: To avoid having to clean stubborn dirt from the top
of wall units, simply cover with a newspaper
Care Advice for Lamiply Shutters
- These are high-quality, hard-wearing doors with laminated surfaces

Care Advice for Acriluxe Shutters
- Acriluxe Shutters have brilliant high gloss acrylic-faced MDF Panels
- Clean with a dust-free, moist cotton cloth
- Do not allow stains to dry. Wash stains immediately with water, possibly with addition of a non-scouring household cleaner or a soft soap solution
- Always wipe the cabinets dry with a soft cloth after cleaning
- Do not use any scouring products, polishes, waxes, hard sponges or steam cleaners
- Always test a cleaner first
Tip: A film protects the Acriluxe Shutters in transit. Do not remove the film until the installation process is completed
Care Advice for Hinges Shutters and Tendem Boxes for Drawers
- Clean Soft Close Hinges with a dry cloth
- Lightly oil the hinges once a year
- The Drawers and deep Drawers are equipped with Tandem Boxes that guarantee light and silent operation
- The Tandem Boxes provide your drawers with a high load bearing capacity of up to 30 kg per drawer
Tip: Just glide/nudge the doors and drawers to close and watch the hardware do the rest
Care Advice for Plastic Parts
- Plastic parts such as cutlery inserts, inset dishes, containers or plastic profiling, can be cleaned with a mild washing-up liquid and a damp cloth
- Do not use any scouring products, harsh liquid cleaners, polishes, waxes, hard sponges or steam cleaners
- Always test a cleaner first
Care Advice for Aluminium Profiles
- Remove dirt as quickly as possible
- Always clean with warm water or a neutral product
- An aluminium cleaner is recommended for cleaning heavy dirt Always test the cleaner first
Advice for Glass Shutters
- To clean glass shutters, use a common household glass cleaning agent
- Dab it on a clean, dry cloth and wipe the glass clean
Tip: Dabbing prevents the liquid from streaking onto the cabinet and ensures that moisture does not seep into the profiles and frames
Care Advice for Handles
- Handles should be cleaned frequently with household cleaning products and a soft damp cloth
- While wiping the handles always clean the joints where the grime tends to collect, then wipe dry
Care Advice for Sinks
Stainless Steel Sinks:
- Remove dirt with water and regular washing-up liquid then rinse with hot water and wipe dry
- For stubborn dirt and water marks, use a stainless steel cleaner
- Do not use aggressive cleaning or scouring products
Synthetic Sinks:
- Synthetic sinks are manufactured from durable synthetic material
- Household washing-up liquids and cleaning products can be used to clean these sinks
- Do not use aggressive cleaning or scouring products
- Pay close attention to the instructions of the manufactures
Tip: Remove stubborn dirt with dishwasher powder, limescale deposits with vinegar or limescale removers
Care Advice for Taps
- Taps are the most used fixture in a kitchen. Always make sure they are kept sparkling clean and do not drip
- Scrub the tap with an old toothbrush and a bit of baking soda. Use a wet cloth to wipe away the loosened dirt and finish by wiping the surface dry
- To clean taps with a chrome and nickel finish, dab some vinegar on a damp cloth, clean the tap and finish by wiping the surface dry
- Clean stainless steel taps with ketchup or cola—they are acidic hence help taps shine. Wipe off with a damp cloth after a few minutes
- Pay close attention to the instructions of the manufacturers
Care Advice for Granite Counter-Tops
- Granite Counter-tops are easy to care for and can be cleaned with household cleaning products
- To clean the Granite Counter-top, fill the sink with warm water and mild dish soap, thoroughly wet a clean dish cloth or nylon scrub and wipe
- Dry and buff your Granite Counter-top thoroughly with a microfibre cloth or soft terry towel to avoid streaking
Tip: Never place hot pots, pans or other hot objects directly on the worktop without protection
General Care Advice
- IFB Kitchens have been designed for preparing food and related tasks in the home and must not be used in a commercial kitchen environment. This also applies to related technical equipment such as electrical appliances, sinks, taps, etc.
- Ensure adequate ventilation during cooking and ensure that steam does not condense on the furniture
- Always use the chimney at the required power level
- Avoid water spilling over
- Do not operate coffee machines, electric kettles or toasters directly beneath the wall units
- Never place hot utensils and objects directly on the worktop or other furniture elements
- The oven door seal must keep the heat around the oven door frame to touchable limits
- Wait 20 minutes after the dishwashing cycle ends, before opening the dishwasher so that the steam can condense within the dishwasher
- Do not keep oven and dishwasher doors open for ventilation purposes
- Do refer to the opening instructions and manuals to get the best out of your appliances and products
- Do not allow children to play in the kitchen area
